THANKSGIVING PAST AT DUDLEY’S
Jane Freeman sent a snap of this incredible window she did for Dudley’s Paw, with this note: “Many years ago Yvonne hired me to do her Thanksgiving window. I made a Thanksgiving for turkeys, dogs and cats. I built a Tribeca street scene (as well as a replica of the entire store, inside and out).” Now having seen this, I have to modify my statement about Myoptics having the cutest windows…

PIER 55 COMING TOGETHER
Pier 55 – at the end of 14th Street in Hudson River Park – is starting to take shape. The “pots” that you can see here from the bikeway will be the main structural feature of the park, holding the entire surface as well as plantings. The 2.5-acre park has been funded by Barry Diller (in case anyone missed that) who hired Thomas Heatherwick to design it. (He also did the “Vessel” in Hudson Yards, or as we call it, the upside-down pinecone.) So far there are 12 pots in place; workers named the first one Aretha. The park is scheduled to be open to the public in May 2021.

COMMUNITY WORKSHARE SPACE ON BWAY
The Downtown Alliance runs a pretty cool workshare space – LMHQ – at 150 Broadway and Liberty, if you’re seeking a way to get out of the house and not pay WeWork prices. There are several conference rooms, a couple phone rooms, a generous hangout space, and several quiet spaces for work. The rate for the year is $2,250 to come and go as you please; there are lower rates for limited numbers of drop-ins. And the organization runs networking and skill-building events throughout the year.

BPC TOWN HALL MEETING TOMORROW
The Battery Park City Authority will hold its next Open Community Meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 6p at 6 River Terrace. The “town hall”-style session allows the public to discuss updates, happenings and issues in and around Battery Park City. Submit questions in advance to info.bpc@bpca.ny.gov.
