SEEN ON GREENWICH~
Dr. Phil reviewed Gigino’s pizza on a website called Barstool Sports in a video that has Phil and host Dave Portnoy standing outside on Greenwich Street eating pie from the box. That’s one way to do it. (Thanks to K. for spotting and sending it over.) It turns out Phil is an expert: his first gig was at a pizza joint. Here’s the word: “I like it. I like the crust. It’s not too tomato-ey. It could use a little more cheese. But I like a lot of cheese.”
FREE THEATER AT THE IRISH HUNGER MEMORIAL
The Flea Theater’s production of Hype Man: A Break Beat Play by Idris Goodwin will return for a free outdoor run at the Irish Hunger Memorial Plaza May 16 to 18. The drama, which was originally seen at The Flea last November (and extended by popular demand), is part of Battery Park City Authority’s lineup of summer programs. The play addresses issues of race and social injustice through the story of a mixed-race hip hop crew about to break through to the national stage. As they rehearse for their network premier, a tragedy takes place in a band members neighborhood. The tough conversations that follow test their friendships, their collective moral compass, all amidst the beats of a pulsating hip-hop soundtrack. Content not appropriate for young children. Recommended for teens and adults.Performances are at 7p and are free and open to the public. No advance reservations required.

The Mahjong Club is welcoming rookies and veterans of the game to stop by, develop their skills and find new playing partners during the multiple gaming sessions. Space is limited and registration is required. The fee is $40 for non-members.

Dr Phil I think the roll was in the middle of the pizza so the box didn’t hit the mozzarella and it wouldn’t stick.., my opinion. I never ate the pizza but living in California now it looked darn good to me from here!!!
