Egg Collective, whose neo-mid-century pieces are carried by Design Within Reach and 1st Dibs, is opening a flagship store and studio at 151 Hudson (at the corner of Hubert), scheduled for May 23. Their showroom at 304 Hudson closed last last month. The design firm was started in in 2011 by three women who met in college — Stephanie Beamer, Crystal Ellis and Hillary Petrie. Much of the collection is made to order from hardwood, stone, leather and gorgeous metals, like blackened brass. More to come here when they are closer to ready.
