100 PEARL PUBLIC ARCADES REJECTED
The Trib covered plans for new retail proposed for 7 Hanover Square, which has one of those dubious privately owned public spaces, usually a give-back for a height bonus (though I don’t know for sure at this location). The current open-air “arcades” at Pearl and Water would be glassed in and “reactivated” with retail — retail that would hog up some of the public space. The community board rejected it once, and was once again not into it at its recent exec committee. Here’s more on the deals going down at 100 Pearl from Crain’s.
NEVER PAY RETAIL
Curbed reports that the duplex penthouse at 100 Barclay Street is back on the market for $39.95 million – a $20 million discount from its original asking price of $59 million. (It’s still just as fab.) Who doesn’t love a good bargain??
BALLROOM IN THE LIVING ROOM
The Wall Street Journal has a fun feature on the apartment of Luda Conti, a spa owner and ballroom dancer, whose 1,000-square-foot living and dining room doubles as a dance floor with sprung wood floors.
SUPERTALL REPORT: 45 PARK PLACE
Construction is getting very close to topping out at 45 Park Place, the 667-foot-tall residential skyscraper being designed by SOMA Architects. —New York Yimby

I thought there was a dispute between the GC and developer regarding payment, what else. I haven’t seen too much work going on lately.
Actually 100 Barclays penthouse started at a laughable 100M
