SING FOR HOPE PIANO IN TRIBECA PARK DUANE PARK!
Tribeca Park Duane Park will get its own Sing for Hope piano starting today through June 23 as part of the program that places 50 hand-painted pianos outdoors in city parks. This year’s installation (the eighth annual) happens to be sponsored by the downtown media company Fosun. If you want to volunteer to help care for the piano while it is in residence, go to the organization’s site here. The piano will be placed in a city public school after its stint in the park. (The photo above is the piano from 2010!)

RALLY AGAINST TWO BRIDGES DEVELOPMENT
Councilwoman Margaret Chin and Borough President Gale Brewer will host a rally against the Two Bridges development project tomorrow, June 5 at 9a, at One Centre on the north side of the kiosks. The rally will take place just before a hearing regarding the lawsuit Brewer and Chin filed against the city and the developers of the site. The electeds sued after the Department of City Planning decided in 2016 that the projects did not require a full public review process for a change in the zoning despite the fact that they are 80-stories tall. The lawsuit argues that the “minor modification” analysis is “nonsense.”
