FALL FROM 28 HUBERT
The Trib reports that a worker was seriously injured in a fall from 28 Hubert last week. (Thanks to E. for this rooftop picture of the FDNY’s response.) The fall was from a distance of eight to 10 feet, but firefighters thought he would recover.

BANNING THE FLOATING BILLBOARD
The Broadsheet reports that the state legislature passed a bill just before its recess that would ban the floating LED billboard. “The new law mandates that ‘all vessels shall be prohibited from operating, anchoring or mooring in the navigable waters of the State while equipped with a digital billboard that uses flashing, intermittent or moving lights.’”

VOGUE COMES TO JAY STREET
The new bridal store on Jay – Flora Vere – gets a little photo essay in Vogue for the cocktail party they hosted with the wedding website Over the Moon.

GALLERIES TEAM UP
The Art Newspaper reports that the smaller galleries opening in Tribeca are banding together for support in a shifting market: “With Chelsea growing increasingly expensive, Tribeca has seen a recent influx of galleries, joining stalwarts such as Andrew Kreps and Postmasters, and newcomers are learning from the experiences of their forerunners. ‘You can’t do this by yourself,’ says Robert Dimin of Denny Dimin Gallery, which has opened a larger space in Tribeca after six years in the Lower East Side.”
