‘TRIBECA’ COMING TO YOUR LIVING ROOM
Deadline reports that NBC has landed “TriBeCa,” an hour-long drama based on the hit Korean series “Sky Castle,” from the producers of “Supergirl.” (If you ask me, that’s the best thing it has going for it so far — the association with Supergirl.) “Described as a sophisticated family drama set in New York’s most expensive zip code, the show explores the inner lives of a group of families and the lengths they will go to ensure their children succeed, regardless of the cost.” Don’t you know it!
You *must* watch this clip of the “sad” Sky Castle moments as a preview of TriBeCa (sic) — at least until the part where the mom screams “What if you fail to get into a specialized high school?” and the son then smashes a planter with a baseball bat through tears of rage. (That actually happened in my house a couple years ago.) Or you can watch the official trailer, in which the plot appears to be the South Korean version of the college admissions scandal, with family honor thrown in.

TWO MEN SLASHED IN THE HEAD AT A/C/E
News 4 New York reported that two men were attacked with a knife on the platform of the Canal Street A/C/E station at 2:30 in the afternoon yesterday. The suspect, ID’ed by police as Elston Howel, was lighting a glass pipe when he got into an argument with one victim; the other tried to intervene. Both were taken to the hospital.
LITTLE BUNNY FOO FOO ON CANAL
So now this will be in your head all day: Paper Magazine calls Foo and Foo, a brand named for the poem “Little Bunny Foo Foo,” the coolest pop-up in Soho and so it shall be: through tomorrow at 325 Canal (between Church and Broadway). The designer is the 26-year-old daughter of Tommy Hilfiger, who calls her aesthetic “kind of weird.”
POP SMOKE ON FRANKLIN
The Times has a profile of 20-year-old super-hot Brooklyn rapper Pop Smoke, and made a lead out of the fact that he “popped” (get it) into Patron of the New a month ago, and when the clerks recognized him, they played his tune “Dior” over the store’s stereo. I mention this here just so we can all pretend we are keeping up with local pop culture belonging to the next generation. (I was going to run the video here but there were so many fully clothed men next to naked strippers shaking their asses that I just couldn’t take it. You will have to look it up yourself.)
