RICHARD SERRA AT GAGOSIAN
Neighbor Richard Serra has three shows up in Chelsea: several pieces are at the Gagosian Gallery on 24th Street in a space that was acquired with his monumental art in mind; another piece at the 21st Street Gagosian space; and a series of remarkable prints are housed at the Gemini GEL gallery – Serra’s fine art printers in Los Angeles — on the third floor of 535 W. 24th Street. Extended through Dec. 21, so get up to catch it. The prints are spectacular – I could have spent all day in there (thanks K.). Great thing to do with the folks coming in for Thanksgiving, with lunch at Cookshop or Bottino.
THE DRESS CODE AT LET THERE BE NEON
Popped in to get some T-shirts as xmas gifts (I am not as organized as that sounds) and couldn’t help but note that there’s clearly a front desk dress code at Let There Be Neon. Love.
FULTON STALL MARKET LAST CHANCE!
The Fulton Stall Outdoor Market will close up Nov. 24, so get your last licks this week. Pier 17, from 11 to 5. Breezy Hill Orchard, Knoll Krest Farm, Rogowski Farm, Hudson Valley Farmhouse Cider, Spice Grove, Amuse Pooch, Brittle and Beyond, Kitchen 36, Bennett’s Deli, SD Sauce, Smooth Pops and more!
GHOST BIKE ON THE RIVER
I missed the arrival of the ghost bike at Canal and this sign — a memorial to those killed on the bike path two Halloweens ago. Sickening.
Why is the Fulton Street Stall Market closing? Does this mean for good or just for the season? It was so nice around the holidays.
I am pretty sure just for the season. But there is a holiday market coming up, but from what I understand the vendors will be slightly different with new ones added in. That is on Dec. 8 from 11 to 5 and is called “Deck the Stalls.”
Do tell, what kind of t-shirts does Let There Be Neon sell?
All colors, naturally, with their cool city-scape logo.
