In the News: Going after the long-standing sidewalk bridges

TARGETING LONG-TIME SIDEWALK SHADE
The Post is on a mission to expose the backstory behind long-standing (literally) sidewalk bridges, and has targeted 129 Fulton. It’s been up around the Coalition for the Homeless building for four years, even though the building is less than four stories and therefore not required to put up a scaffold by Local Law 11 rules (those are for six stories and up). “The Post has been exposing the worst abuses of the scaffolding explosion, including where “sidewalk bridges” have stood for as long as 13 years. The monstrosities damage businesses, invite squalor and sometimes threaten passers-by rather than protect them.”

TIPS UP IN SOHO
In what I would call a surprise retail move, Rossignol, the 112-year-old French ski brand, is opening a Soho store at 108 Wooster.
