CHEF FOR 20 WARREN STUCK IN JAPAN
I popped my head in to the Japanese bar and restaurant — Icca — under construction at 20 Warren for ages — but could only get this sliver of a view. Still, it looks charming. But the woman who came out to chat said they had no idea when they would open. They are still awaiting visas for their chef, who is stuck in Japan.
MINI STREET CATHEDRAL ON VARICK
If you’ve noticed these little installations on light poles along Varick, they (five of them) are the work of artists Claudia Ravaschiere and Michael Moss and are titled “Street Cathedral.”

I’ve spotted a few of these cute guys here and there. This one is from J., spotted on Walker Street.
A FOX HEADING UPTOWN
Fidi’s Black Fox Coffee — located first at 70 Pine, then 85 Broad and 110 Wall — has opened a midtown location at 45 East 45th St.
