RESTAURANT WEEK IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Restaurant week runs tomorrow through Feb. 9 and a bunch of neighborhood restaurants are participating. Prices can vary though the general idea is lunch for $26, dinner for $42. (Manhatta and some others are a bit more.) See the Tribeca listings here and the Fidi and Battery Park City listings here.
CRAFTY BABY
Craft Studio founder Lindsey Peers welcomed her third child, Luke, on Nov. 23. This is the family all built out: Ian, Elle (5) and Vivienne (3). They live near her first studio on the UES, but now consider Tribeca the family stomping ground.
DR. KOVACHEVICH SHOW ON DELANCEY
Longtime local doctor and White Street resident Thomas Kovachevich will have his fourth solo show at Callicoon Fine Arts on Delancey Street. The show opens Feb. 2 with a reception that day from 6 to 8p.
TRIBECA AT NIGHT
G. sent over this evocative shot taken Friday night. It sums up the neighborhood in a way.

Yes, but what about the spectacular light shows which are now, from time to time illuminating the upper stories of The David Dinkins Building at 1 Center Street?? The new light system on the cupola is quite an addition to downtown. The Head of Operations at the building produced a very colorful display on MLK Day and has managed other displays on certain days. Well worth looking out for.
I agree! Also love the wacky light shows going on at 115 Broadway, the south side of Zuccotti Park…
I would love it if the Woolworth building still lit up its upper stories. It was a jewel.
