DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISTS AT THE SEAPORT
On Wednesday, Jan. 29, 7p, The New Republic’s climate reporter, Kate Aronoff, will discuss her new book at McNally Jackson’s Seaport shop (4 Fulton Street). Titled ”We Own The Future: Democratic Socialism — American Style,” which she co-edited with Peter Dreier and Michael Kazin, the book is a compilation of essays from leftist thinkers. The event is free.

The Toll Brothers’ building at 91 Leonard St., which is actually on Broadway, is just about wrapped up. The building has 111 units; the lobby is by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.

OPENING CEREMONY TO CLOSE SOHO STORE
Opening Ceremony, the hip retailer who has been on Howard Street for two decades, is closing all its retail stores. From their Instagram post: “We know our decision may surprise you and it may be interpreted in many different ways.
