REMEMBERING ANDY
F. reports that he saw some action inside Tribeca’s Kitchen this week, and sent along this photo of a recent addition: a wonderful portrait (taken by Carl Glassman) of owner Andy Koutsoudakis, who died in late March of the coronavirus. There was also this great shot on the restaurant’s Instagram last month.
BLOOD MANOR DONE?
This photo from F. seems to indicate that Blood Manor, which tried to get a liquor license for its spooky urban theme park this fall — but failed — has left the premises.
TOWNLEY CAFE WILL BE BACK
Shane Townley, who opened the cafe on Broadway and White just a couple months ago, and has a gallery on the back side on Franklin Alley, is closed just for the coronavirus, despite the sign that says “store for rent” on his front window. But he has given up the lease on his expansive space in the basement that was part of his NYA Gallery.
