Grand Banks opened yesterday from its berth on Pier 25, serving food and virgin drinks for takeout. The menu so far is oysters, lobster rolls and desserts, but alcoholic drinks are not permitted for now. (You can still get a watermelon swizzle or a virgin bloody mary.) Hours are noon to 8p.

The staff built a takeout counter at the top of the gangplank. Order at GBtakeout.com they will text when ready for pick up.

I will note the schooner, the Sherman Zwicker, is looking fine after its winter storage. And there was already a bit of a crowd at the end of the pier. (G. caught this dramatic shot below at sunset Wednesday.)
