THE VIEW FROM 70 VESTRY?
Architectural Digest has a feature on Kevin Love’s pad in what I *think* is 70 Vestry (those of you with keener eyes will confirm or correct). What confuses me is calling it “brand new” since it was finished in 2018? Anyway, the star forward for the Cleveland Cavaliers and five-time all star is using this as his off season home. The best part is his dog is named Vestry!
NO COBBLER’S SHOES HERE
Stella owner Mischelle Arcus gives a tour of her own bedroom on her blog, and reflects on her first NYC apartment (and how far she’s come): “I slept on a futon in the middle of my shoe-box sized Greenwich Village Loft. At the time, I was passionate about green, and decorated my space accordingly, painting the walls a mottled green the color of spring leaves… Thirty years later, my taste has changed quite a bit. I still love green, but these days, my room has a much more feminine palette: soft blue-gray accented by burgundy and pearl white. Everything in it is special to me.”
SIMONETTE QUAMINA AT PACE
For some good window viewing through Jan. 17, the Pace University Art Gallery will show its current exhibit through the street-level windows at 41 Park Row. This is Brooklyn printmaker Simonette Quamina’s first solo show; she is also a professor of printmaking at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
I just watched this video, and it is in fact 70 Vestry St. I wonder if the name of the dog was a pleasant coincidence.
