Rocket Club, the coding, robotics and entrepreneurship program that opened last year in Tribeca, has gone fully virtual, and kids are now connecting from around the world through its classes. Its success scored it a slot on Good Morning America, with founder Alex Hodara explaining how its new online presence provides kids more access to environments where they can compete, create and learn.
Kids ages 7 to 14 use their time at Rocket Club to start their own businesses, learning complex entrepreneurship topics like business valuation and viral marketing along the way. The gamified curriculum allows them to earn “Rocket Fuel” to cash in for prizes as they learn to build and code robotics.
In addition to weekly classes, every day they get to meet famous entrepreneurs and engineers, such as the founders of Netflix, Beyond Meat and Birchbox; executives from SpaceX, Uber, Twitter, and Snapchat as well as famous chefs, athletes, musicians, scientists and celebrities.
Membership is all-inclusive and students enroll month to month. Here is a breakout of what the membership includes:
Class: Once a week. Entrepreneurship, coding, and robotics curriculum taught in a small class setting with a dedicated instructor.
Rocket Club Live: As many days a week as our members wish to join. Rocket Club Live is an interactive educational game show and Q&A with a special guest. Guests have included founders of Netflix, Beyond Meat and Birchbox; executives from SpaceX, Uber, Twitter, and Snapchat; famous chefs, athletes, musicians, scientists, and celebrities. During RC Live, members win prizes as big as PS5s, Nintendo Switches and Apple Watches.
Communities: As many days a week as our members wish to join — many kids spend as many as five or six hours a week learning through different parts of the program. Seminars include 3D Printing, Advanced Coding, Advanced Robotics, Supergirls Forum, Arts & Crafts, Anime, Improv & Public Speaking, and Chess to name a few.
March is a free trial month to see if this is the right fit for your children.
