LIBESKIND IN CONVERSATION WITH GOLDBERGER
Architecture critic Paul Goldberger will interview Tribecan Daniel Libeskind and discuss how his background and experience as the son of Polish Holocaust survivors inform his work in a virtual program hosted by the Museum of Jewish Heritage on Tuesday, March 2, 7p. Libeskind designed several influential museums, including the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco and the Danish Jewish Museum in Copenhagen as well as the master plan for the World Trade Center. He was born in 1946 in Łódź, Poland; his family immigrated to the United States and settled in the Bronx when he was a teenager. Register here.
PRIVATE PERFORMANCES FOR LUNAR NEW YEAR
Brookfield Place will host intimate, 15-minute live performances for the Lunar New Year inside for groups of up to six people who have traveled together. Registration opens on the Monday before each show at 10a. There will be dance events on Fridays Feb. 19 and 25, March 5 and 12, from 5 to 7p. And musical performances on Sundays, Feb. 21 and 28, March 7 and 14 from 1 to 4p. More info here.
