BARBERSHOP COMING TO 325 GREENWICH
Looks like there’s a barbershop coming to the former Myoptics Dudley’s Paw space on Greenwich and Duane (thanks to G. for the shot). This will bring that building back to life along with Cafe Clementine on the corner.
PLAZA M AT BROOKFIELD THIS SUMMER
Plaza M is taking over the former Babesta space at Brookfield — keeping it in the family — and will open there this summer.
BLUE SMOKE IS BACK
Blue Smoke reopened March 25 for lunch and dinner, inside and out. They’ve got some new additions: buttermilk biscuits, double chocolate cupcakes and beer on tap.
WAY TO REPRESENT
Balloon Saloon and The Odeon (and Wo Hop and Chinatown Ice Cream Factory) get a shout out in the “Old Faithfuls” category in New York Magazine’s feature earlier this month on wearing your city pride on your sleeve. I’ll add these restaurant Ts to the mix as well.

Judging by this picture, that looks like it’s in the spot where the eyeglasses shop used to be, not Dudleys
Great New York Mag Category mentions. Fabulous Merch.
Just visited the new barbershop and they did a great job on the place and haircut too of course. Glad to see business is coming back on that section of Greenwich St!
I was so sad we lost those four small businesses at Greenwich & Duane. My pup still pulls me over to Dudley’s and sit lamenting…but I was so happy to see the barber shop and gave them a wave. So come on fellas – get your cuts local.
