Seen & Heard: Curbside Canvas on film

CURBSIDE CANVAS ON FILM
Tribecan Bill Tsapalas, who created the Curbside Canvas Project as a way to get some attention for local restaurants struggling during the pandemic, is interviewed in this Vice short feature on the project. His idea has since spread to lots of other neighborhoods, but Tribeca’s eateries — Reade Street Pub, The Dark Horse (our first), Bubby’s — get the majority of the closeups in this doc. And local artists Ford Crull and MissfitNYC, who took on yards of plywood, are also featured along with Bubby’s owner Ron Silver.

PACE WILL HAVE HYBRID CLASSES IN FALL
Pace is planning a full return to campus for the fall 2021 semester, with fully in-person classes, activities and events at all three of its campuses:, including ours. For the past year, they have been operating with a combination of in-person learning, remote classes and hybrid options. However, they are not ditching the hybrid or online model — there will be those options still — so maybe a slightly thinner population on campus?

  1. This window display is gorgeous. Every detail is stunning. Butterflies and tulips are two of my favorites (not to be cheesy) but tis true. I haven’t walked past this storefront past week or two. Glad you captured it.

  2. It’s official, back office city workers returning to work in person one day a week starting 5/3.
