The owner of Frankly Wines has set up a Kickstarter campaign to fund a wine bar on the corner of Warren and West Broadway, in the former Vin Sur Vingt space. She has signed the lease for May 1, and hopes to hit $40K within the next six days. She’s already at $24,353, but the way Kickstarter works is if you don’t reach your goal, you don’t get any of the money.

The funds would go to a year-round dining structure, refrigeration units and opening payroll. The bar will be called Della’s, after her grandmother.

There’s a range of donation options, and a range of rewards. Give $10 for the spirit of it, or give $10,000 for a private party and your name on a barstool (and lots of options in between). You can read more about the idea here.

“The hope is to be open in July sometime, but at the very least, we will be ready to welcome everyone back from their summers in September!” said Liz Nicholson. “I can begin honoring the rewards later in the fall.”
