MISTER DIPS COMING THIS THURSDAY
More TK after they open, but this is a fun entry: Mister Dips, Andrew Carmellini’s version of Shake Shack, is opening a real brick and mortar location at Pier 17 — right next to the escalators — starting this Thursday. It’s known for its soft ice cream and shakes (and Williamsburg Airstream trailer) but also offers burgers, waffle fries, etc. A good addition to the pier, since not much else is casual down there these days. Hours will be 11:30a to 10p Weds-Sun (plus Memorial Day Monday) to start, with extended Monday and Tuesday hours coming soon.
