A neighbor let me know that police had responded to a “confirmed jumper” at 41 River Terrace on the corner of Chambers in Battery Park City yesterday at 4:20 in the afternoon — she heard a loud noise and screams and then a while later, the police cars arrived.

As of this morning, the police did not have a name or age, only that the victim was dead on arrival and the cause of death was fall from an elevated position. The investigation is ongoing.
