MORE MUSIC IN DUANE PARK
The Friends of Duane Park continue to book great singer/songwriters for their bi-monthly concerts. Up this Thursday, August 12, 6:30 to 8: Peter and Wilson from Four26 Studios. (That is *not* them above.)
THE CRAFT STUDIO IS OPEN
The Craft Studio will reopen in the former Roller Rabbit space, right next door to its old spot on Duane, on Sept. 1.
NEW PHOTOGRAPHY AT WESTERN UNION
Tribeca resident Sonia Kahlon currently has the windows at the Western Union building on Hudson. On display is a series of self-portrait photographs where her intention was “to create images where the subject relates to their landscape in a surprising and whimsical way. In the context of this relationship, I am striving to examine some of my personal struggles and realizations.” Her website is here.
THE PATRIOT LIGHTS UP AGAIN
The Patriot’s neon signage was removed to facilitate façade work on the building and was put in storage for a time. Folks there told me that some of the letters were damaged and are being replaced. They are nearly done now.
