SOHO PHOTO GALLERY HOSTS TWO SHOWS
Starting Sept. 9 through 12, Soho Photo will host two shows: Witness, with photos of Sept. 11 from photographers Wolfgang Staehle, Hans Weiss and Lee Day, and “911: Our First Responder Heroes” with images by the FDNY and NYPD. The gallery will be open from 1 to 6p each day. More information here.

CONCERT AT THE MUSEUM OF JEWISH HERITAGE
The Museum of Jewish Heritage will host a concert with the Knickerbocker Chamber Orchestra to commemorate the 20th anniversary of 9/11 on Saturday, Sept. 11, at 8p. Interspersed with readings of remembrance and reflection, “Remembrance, Reflection, Resilience: A 9/11 Tribute Concert” will feature Samuel Barber’s “Adagio for Strings,” the world premiere of Gary S. Fagin’s “9/11 In Memoriam,” Edward Kennedy (Duke) Ellington’s “Come Sunday” featuring the KCO’s Orlando Wells on violin, and other music of uplift and inspiration. COMMUNITY DAY AT 1ST PRECINCT
J. caught this poster for a community day event at the 1st Precinct to commemorate 9/11 on Wednesday, Sept. 8, from 11a to 2p. There will be family activities, safety demonstrations, games and more.

9/11 MEMORIAL & MUSEUM SPECIAL HOURS
The 9/11 Memorial will host a special gathering of the 9/11 community on Friday, Sept. 10, from 2 to 5p. During these hours, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum will be reserved exclusively for 9/11/01 and 2/26/93 family members, family members of individuals who are sick or who have died from 9/11-related illnesses, 9/11 rescue and recovery workers, active duty first responders, 9/11 survivors, active-duty military and veterans, lower Manhattan residents and business owners, and active and retired flight crew members. Reservations are required.

9/11 BOATLIFT COMMEMORATION
There will be a flotilla honoring the rescue operation by boats on 9/11, and the Classic Harbor Line will offer passage on its fleet on Friday, Sept. 10, for a two-hour tour to join. The Great Boatlift Commemoration on Yacht Manhattan will sail from 12:15 to 2:15pm with speaker Carolina Salguero of Portside NY. The boat will leave from the Chelsea Piers and the trip requires a $50 donation that you can direct to a specific waterfront organization. See more info here.
