PICKLEBALL AT BROOKFIELD
I was so excited to see two pickleball courts (there also a badminton court) at Brookfield — too bad they are only there till Saturday, FCFS for a half-hour of play. More info here, but the shorthand is the court is open for play 11a to 5p for the general public. This is more forgiving tennis for the less skilled, and I love it.

ANOTHER NAIL SALON & SPA FOR WARREN
Ree Nails has a “coming soon” sign on the building that was recently rebuilt at 79 Warren between West Broadway and Greenwich. The space has never had a tenant, and the layout is a bit odd: there’s a wide staircase to the mezzanine as soon as you walk in the doors.

NEW PARKLAND IN HUDSON RIVER PARK
ICYSIAW (my new acronym: in case you saw it and wondered): Hudson River Park has opened a new public park on the roof of Pier 57, the former bus terminal at the end of 14th Street right near the Chelsea Market. Also in that pier: City Winery, Google offices, a restaurant at the end of the pier, and a soon-to-come food hall from the James Beard Foundation that extends the full length. It’s open from 7a to 10p, and can be accessed from the southern perimeter walkway (which is also now open).
