S. was in Battery Park City on Saturday night around 8p as NYPD divers, FDNY boats as well as helicopters and drones were seeking a man who fell off a jet ski near the ferry terminal.

The 23-year-old man and his 22-year-old girlfriend had rented a jet ski from Hoboken and it flipped as they approached our side of the river. She was able to swim to safety, but he was sucked under the ferry terminal, according to other jet ski riders that S. met at the scene.

The FDNY used boats with sonar to look for him (as show in the iPad shot) and his body was eventually found floating just south of the ferry terminal.

The Post also reported that a man with a weighted backpack was pulled out of the river on Sunday morning, just off Pier 40 at Houston.
