MOVIES IN THE PARK NEXT WEEK
The Friends of Washington Market Park showed the new West Side Story in the park on Saturday and there’s another coming up on Sept. 17: Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The action starts at 7:15. Check the website or Instagram for updates in the case of bad weather.

WASHINGTON MARKET PEDS MOVING TO WASHINGTON
Dr. Tiffany Otto Knipe’s concierge pediatrics practice, Washington Market Pediatrics, which opened on Hudson in 2015, has moved to 418-A Washington Street between Laight and Vestry and is now called WMP Boutique Pediatric Care. Knipe will be joined by her own childhood pediatrician, Dr. Susan Swezey. They will be hosting a week-long flu shot party this week with other activities for kids. BULLET SHIH AT STEVEN AMEDEE GALLERY
Bullet Shih, the brother of Tribecan Polly Brandmeyer, will have his paintings shown at the Steven Amedee Gallery through Oct. 28. Shih died here in Tribeca in 2020 at the age of 51 after spending the last 20 years in Budapest, painting full time and also running a non-commercial gallery for experimental art called “Puccs Contemporary Art.” Amedee describes his process as “one of play, experimentation, and an inward view.” The show opens on Sept. 22 at 41 N. Moore and runs through Oct. 28.

ALVIN ENG READING IN EAST VILLAGE
Tribecan Alvin Eng will be reading from his new memoir “Our Laundry, Our Town: My Chinese American Life from Flushing to the Downtown Stage and Beyond” on Thursday, Sept. 15, at 7p at KGB Bar at 85 East 4th Street at 7p. The group reading, part of a series called Drunken! Careening! Writers, also includes Charles Salzberg and Kathleen Warnock.
