WORKERS STRIKE AT 108 LEONARD
Gothamist reports that 15 building workers at the Clocktower Building, 108 Leonard on Broadway, began a strike yesterday, alleging the building’s property manager is refusing to bargain with their union. “The building owners voluntarily recognized the workers’ union in the spring of 2021, when they sought representation from 32BJ SEIU. Negotiations have since come to a grinding halt, according to a union spokesperson and records from the National Labor Relations Board.”

BLOOD MANOR ON THE SPOOKY LIST
The Times adds Blood Manor, on Broadway, to its list of spooky stuff to do for Halloween. “For a true bloodcurdling experience, Blood Manor, a 10,000-square-foot haunted house in TriBeCa with clowns, corpse brides and cannibals, would be a good place to start. The renowned Halloween destination, where Kevin Hart and Jimmy Fallon shrieked in terror in 2016, has welcomed the fearful and fearless for more than a decade.”
MILADY’S REOPENS IN SOHO
Eater reports that the decades-old dive bar Milady’s will reopen this week as a cocktail bar at its former home at 160 Prince at Thompson Street. “The Soho spot once known for its cheap beer and pool table closed in 2014 and will open its doors on Wednesday, October 19 under the reins of Julie Reiner, behind Brooklyn bars Leyenda and Clover Club.”
