AT CALIZA: COCKTAILS AND SMALL PLATES
Caliza, the new Mexican restaurant at N. Moore and Greenwich, is now “sort of” open — the bar is fully open and the restaurant is operating with a very limited menu as they still wait for gas. So far the hours are Monday to Friday, 5 to 9p, and this week Saturday as well. (Thanks to A. for the snap, and I love the glasses, which I believe were chosen by Christine Cole at Flaweless.)
THE LOTUS METHOD IS OPEN
The Lotus Method, a pelvic floor exercise space for women, seems to be open from the look of last night’s party. More soon…
NEW VET COMING TO HUDSON SQUARE
Pure Paws Veterinary Care will open a third location this winter at 350 Hudson at King, a 3,100 square foot animal hospital with diagnostic imaging, dental care, surgery and an in-house pharmacy. The founder, Stephanie Liff, has been practicing for 12 years and has partnered with another veterinarian, Nuala McDermott, to open this one in Hudson Square.
WATCH OUT FOR ELVES
Next Tuesday and Wednesday at rush hours, on Dec. 13 and 14, the Hudson Square BID will staff the cross walks along Varick between Houston and Spring with “Crossing Elves” for safety and for entertainment. Be warned: while waiting for traffic lights to change, the elves will encourage passersby to sing a holiday song, play games, dance, or share why they’re naughty or nice for a 10-second video.
