NOSTALGIA TRAIN STARTS AT CHAMBERS
The MTA and the Transit Museum have resurrected the Holiday Nostalgia Train and will run them on Sunday, Dec. 11th and 18th, along the 1 line starting at Chambers and making express stops on the local track to 137th Street – City College station. The cost is a regular swipe. The Holiday Nostalgia Train will depart Chambers Street Station at 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm.
WORLD CUP FINALS AT CHURCH STREET SCHOOL
Church Street School for Music & Art (and Sport) will host a watch party for the finals of the World Cup on Sunday, Dec. 18, 9:30a in the CSSMA Performance Space. There will be musical performances from student bands, a bagel brunch, art activities and treats. Tickets are $15/ person. TRIBECA DOCTOR INDICTED FOR SELLING OPIOIDS
ICYMI, a doctor whose offices are on Broadway and Worth, Noel Smith, was indicted by the Manhattan DA for charges including conspiring to distribute tens of thousands of prescription pills, including opioids and other controlled substances, in Manhattan and Staten Island. “The defendants allegedly operated a scheme that involved obtaining oxycodone, Adderall, Klonopin and Suboxone pills in Manhattan to illegally sell in Staten Island,” the DA said. His office conducted a yearlong wiretap investigation to snag him.
