February 21, 2023 Restaurant/Bar News
A. spotted it first: Ol’ Days, a restaurant that features an all-day brunch, is taking over the former Mulberry & Vine space on Warren as its second location in the city. They have another in Miami.
They opened in Nomad in June 2022, on Broadway and 27th Street, and in downtown Miami in November 2020. But the original is in Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires. Their Instagram says “coming soon” for our location, and that space should be easy to whip into shape.
The cafes are owned by sisters Martina and Juliana Fracchia and Camila Basigalup. The menu includes bowls, sandwiches, pancakes, risotto, roast chicken — a wide-ranging assortment. (See below.) The hours in Nomad are 7:30 to 4 on the weekdays and 8 to 5 on the weekends; we will see if this follows that pattern. (There is no contact info on the website, so we will just have to wait for more info.)
Their Nomad menu also included wine and beer, and since Mulberry & Vine renewed their liquor license in February 2022, they should be able to piggyback on that, though they still have to change the name.
I still sigh every time I walk by this spot — Mulberry & Vine was the best takeaway lunch in the neighborhood.
