ORANGETHEORY FITNESS OPENS IN JULY
The folks selling early-bird memberships to passersby on Hudson the other day said that Orangetheory, the new gym for the former Ninja space, will open in July; the response from corporate was a little less specific: Q3.

LONGTIME LOCAL DOC MOVING TO BROADWAY
Dr. Sanjay Patel, a child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist who has been at 79 Chambers since 2013, is moving his private practice around the corner. His new address is 277 Broadway at Chambers, Suite 806. He founded his practice in the offices of Tribeca Therapy, but is moving to a larger space of his own. JOYCE LIN AT R & CO.
R & Co. will show the work of Joyce Lin, whose meticulous chair designs push the boundaries of art and function. “Her unique approach to design embraces material experimentation as a core element of her practice, resulting in works that are both aesthetically stunning and thought-provoking.” Opening April 20 at 64 White.

TRACING A DELIVERY COMPANY’S ROOTS TO TRIBECA
This is a tenuous connection to the neighborhood, but I found it interesting and wanted to record the history here (provided by A.). The bulk grocery delivery company Boxed has suspended services in Manhattan; there’s a story here on what went wrong. But it turns out they started here at 51 White as MaxDelivery in April 2005; MaxDelivery was then acquired by Boxed in 2021. The founder of MaxDelivery was the former CTO of kozmo.com, Chris Siragusa; Kozmo was one of NYC’s first one-hour delivery service during the ’90s dot-com boom.
