BASMAT LEVIN ON THE BOWERY
Tribeca artist Basmat Levin will host a show titled “From Shanghai to NY” at 302 Bowery through May 21. She has lived between Tribeca and Shanghai for decades, and just recently closed her studio there after 15 years in the Shanghai art district M50. The exhibition includes pieces from her previous studio in China as well as her current Tribeca studio. See more of her work here and more from the Shanghai Daily here.
“ASK THE TRAINER” AT URVET
URVet, the new veterinarian on Chambers, will host a free event on Sunday, May 7, from 3 to 5p, at 200 Chambers. The pet fair will include lots of free stuff for dogs and cats, ask the trainer with Diane Sandoval from Tribeca Pet Services and an opportunity to meet the URVet care team.
SEAPORT FIT STARTS THIS MONTH
HIIT the Deck and Lyons Den Power Yoga will host free exercise classes as part of the Seaport Fit series on Pier 17 in May. See the schedule and RSVP here.
ROTARY PARK DISCUSSION ON PUBLIC SPACE
Rotary Park and the Tribeca North Neighborhood Association will host a public conversation about “Environmental Resilience, Traffic and Pedestrian Safety, and Public Space at the Holland Tunnel Rotary and the surrounding North Tribeca neighborhood” at Spring Studios on May 16 at 6p.
