BMCC HELPS FOSTER WMP GARDENS
A big Tribeca thanks to the big crew of BMCC students who came to help move the hundreds of pounds of mulch that the Parks Department and the Partnership for Parks delivered to Washington Market Park recently for its garden beds. Talk about being good neighbors…

OFFICERS AND A VIEW
Was fun bumping into 1st Precinct officers Illiana Melendez (the youth coordination officer) and Vinord Andrew (the domestic violence officer) on Governors last month. Never thought about it, but of course the island is part of our precinct, and officers come out for regular patrols.

REAL PILATES EXPANDING TO BK
Real Pilates graduate Renee Chen is opening up a studio in Boerum Hill, so the company now has four locations with Tribeca, the Upper East Side and Montauk. The address is 407 Atlantic; soft opening in August and grand opening in September.

OYSTERS ON THE TERRASSE
L’Abeille has opened its sidewalk seating — they call it “la terrasse” — for the season and a short menu featuring champagne, oysters and caviar. There’s also their regular cocktail and full wine list. “We’re not serving substantial food out there at the moment but we hope it will be a great place for neighbors to get some oysters and a couple of drinks before or after dinner,” co-owner Howard Chang said in his note.
