HALLOWEEN HAS COME TO JAY STREET
Guess it’s never too early for the Halloween-loving residents at 21 Jay, where the display is funded by one tenant in order to “share a little scare” with the neighborhood. Showings — these guys come alive! — are weekdays from 4 to 10p, and weekends from 10a to 10p.
PAR ICI IS NOW OPEN AT NIGHT
I have yet to write this up fully, but I’ve had two good lunches at Par Ici Cafe, the restaurant in the back of Fouquet’s hotel on Greenwich at Desbrosses, and I just heard they are now open for dinner too. Plus my pals sat next to Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and a crew recently. Breakfast is Monday through Friday, from 7:30a to 10:30a; lunch is Monday to Sunday, 11a to 4:40p; dinner is Wednesday through Saturday, 4:30 to 9p.
PICKLEBALL COMING SOON TO THE WESTSIDE
Hudson River Park is poised to open four pickleball courts at 34th Street, just across from the Javits. (This photo is from three weeks ago, when I biked by.) It will be lit at night too, with solar lights.
