PARIS LAUNDRY OPENS PERMANENT SPACE
Paris Laundry, a small luxury men’s fashion line founded and manufactured here, opens today at 5 Harrison, between Hudson and Staple. The space has been set up since May as a studio / showroom and this will be a permanent retail location. More soon when I can stop by.
IT’S NATIONAL GUMBO DAY!
…so Filé Gumbo Bar, the Cajun/Creole restaurant on Church and White, is celebrating National Gumbo Day today, Thursday, October 12, with free gumbo for the first 20 guests who visit File for lunch between 11:30a and 1:30p. No other purchases are necessary. All gumbo on the menu will be offered for $20 all day long.
CATCH-AND-RELEASE IN BPC
Battery Park City will host a fishing event on Saturday, Oct. 14, from 10:30a to 1p, at Belvedere Plaza. The day features catch-and-release fishing with experienced anglers; and in celebration of City of Forest Day, take part in a tree-themed art project and nature walk plus, a live performance by Grammy nominated Divinity Roxx. CAR SHOW AT 28 LIBERTY
Fosun Plaza at 28 Liberty will host a vintage and collector car exhibition from CarPark on Saturday, October 14, from 9a to 1p. The event will showcase up to 70 sports and collector cars, including supercars, vintage European and American vehicles, and other spectacular automobiles.
