ROCKET CLUB EXTENDS PROGRAM TO PRE-K

FILMMAKERS IN CHIEF FOR DOWNTOWN
The Downtown Alliance has named Andrew and Remy Neymarc as its first filmmakers in chief, selected as winners by a jury of Lower Manhattan cultural leaders after a review of their film treatment “Dreamscape.” The duo will receive a $50,000 grant to create a film for Lower Manhattan over two months. There were 432 applicants. The jury included Pete Torres of the Tribeca Festival, Khady Kamara Nunez of the Perelman Performing Arts Center, Kwame Amoaku, deputy commissioner of the Film Office at the NYC Office of Media and Entertainment, and production designer Wynn Thomas. Born in the U.S., raised in Paris and now based in Hoboken, the brothers are known for dynamic and cinematic visual storytelling. Their short film, “Happy Valentine’s Day,” went viral and won two Webby Awards.
