FAIRWEATHER IN CHELSEA
The brothers from the Grand Banks and Holywater have opened a little cocktail bar in the (almost secret) courtyard garden of the High Line Hotel in Chelsea called Fairweather –- because that’s when it’s open. They will be serving seasonal, classic and spirit-free cocktails, spritzes, and wines.
TRIBECA PAC ANNOUNCES ITS 2024-2025 SEASON
BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center has opened ticket sales for its 2024 – 2025 programming. The year will feature the return of Classic Albums Live, performing the 10th best-selling album of all time: Fleetwood Mac’s “Rumours.” The season will also offer family favorites such as the The Pout-Pout Fish and Goodnight Moon; Cirque-tacular; the Legendary Wailers, featuring Junior Marvin; the next faces of jazz; and modern dance. TARA KITCHEN ON THE SMALL SCREEN
Tara Kitchen chef and owner Aneesa Waheed was on Fox5 showing them and their watchers how to make begkrir, or 1000-hole pancakes. The key is semolina flour and yeast, blended at super high speeds and cooked on a really hot pan.
MUSEUM OF MATH AT FOSUN PLAZA
The National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath) and Fosun will present the eighth annual New York City Math Festival at 28 Liberty’s Fosun Plaza on Saturday, July 13, from 10a to 4p. The free event will allow guests to experience six popular exhibits from MoMath’s Math Midway, including human-scale mazes; a race of mathematical and visual perception with Play Truchet, and the mind-bending puzzles of Twist-n-Roll, plus lots of other games and activities. The festival on Fosun Plaza will also celebrate the 80th Birthday of Erno Rubik, the creator of the Rubik’s Cube with speedcubers solving the puzzle in various designs.
