CRAB WEEK AT PIER 40
Hudson River Park is celebrating the crustacean this week — through July 20 — with a special Crab Corner displaying the decapods of the Hudson at the Wetlab at Pier 40, the park’s environmental center. See the schedule here.

REMEMBERING JFK JR.
The Today show shot the primary interview for its segment on JFK Jr., part of the coverage on the 25th anniversary of his death, at Bubby’s, which I guess was one of Kennedy’s favorite restaurants.

LEARN TO SAIL WITH THE SEAPORT MUSEUM
South Street Seaport Museum will host its sailing history program on Sunday July 21, from 4–6p, aboard the 1885 schooner Pioneer. Tickets range from $20–$50. The group will take a boat tour through history with Stefan Dreisbach-Williams, a historian known for his expertise on New York Harbor, its estuary and its maritime network. This tour will have a specific focus on canals and sail freight. Tickets here.
