Seen & Heard: Battery Dance set for August 11-17

BATTERY DANCE FESTIVAL SEEKING VOLUNTEERS
The annual Battery Dance Festival will return to Rockefeller Park August 11 through 17. See the performance schedule here. Also, Battery Dance is looking for volunteers to join the team and watch nightly dance performances while selling merchandise, assisting audience members as needed, managing information tables, and collecting audience surveys. Volunteers can expect to work in 3-5 hour shifts. Contact volunteer@batterydance.org with any questions or to sign up.

FALL ART CLASSES AT THE NY ACADEMY OF ART
Fall art classes are open for enrollment at New York Academy of Art’s Continuing Education Program either in-person at the academy’s Franklin Street campus or online. The school offers classes for all skill levels, ranging from portraiture to watercolor to sculpture and more. Registration here, starting now. NB: Classes fill fast.

ATEAZ CAFE OPENS AT 77 GREENWICH
An organic coffee and tea brand has opened its first cafe at 77 Greenwich in Fidi. Ateaz — which is a riff on “at ease” if you were wondering — features premium tea, coffee, ceremonial-grade matcha and made-to-order breakfast, sandwiches, wraps, salads.
