SUMMER STREETS THIS WEEKEND
The Department of Transportation will host its annual Summer Streets program — when they close down miles of the city streets to car traffic — August 3, 10 and 17, from 7a to 3p. For Manhattan, the locations are Lafayette Street and Park Avenue between the Manhattan base of the Brooklyn Bridge up to 125th Street, though it jigs and jags around the top of Central Park to finish along Adam Clayton Powell.
