Missing Fidi teenager has been found in the East Village

UPDATE: Sophie Barker, the Fidi teenager who went missing on Thursday morning, was found at 3p Friday at the Seward Park Library on East Broadway and Clinton. The guard there reported her to the local precinct and she was taken by ambulance from the library, her mother reported.

Here’s the post from Thursday:

A teenager who lives on William Street has been missing since she went out for a coffee yesterday morning, her parents have reported. Her name is Sophie Barker, but she will respond to Sophie or Rosa. Her parents said she may seem disoriented since she is medically at risk and skipped at least one dose of her medication. They filed a missing persons report yesterday.

She was last seen by her parents at 10:40a yesterday morning, wearing a black top, jeans and white sneaker with red trim and carrying a tan leather tote — she would have had a little cash on her but not much. She was then spotted at 11a on William and Fulton on video footage that the NYPD was able to gather.

She attends to the Manhattan High School at the Beacon School in Midtown, but clearly school is not yet in session.

If you spot her, please call her mother Saida Barker at 917-536-0095; father Dave Barker at 917-834-8774; stepfather Mike Papadeas at 917-834-7819 or NYPD Detective Okomek 917-327-0758.

I will update this post with news.
