TEST NIGHT FOR 9/11 TRIBUTE IN LIGHT
The 9/11 Memorial & Museum Tribute in Light will be tested on Thursday, September 5, a bit after 8p — just as a heads up. The lights are set up at 80 Greenwich, at Edgar.

BPC BLOCK PARTY SEPT. 21
The Battery Park City Block Party will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21, after an eight-year hiatus. The event will be from 11a to 4p on Esplanade Plaza and will include local restaurants and vendors, performances from bands and choruses, games, a cupcake baking contest, a kids area, a pet area hosted by the BPC Dog Association. There will also be a presentation of the Anthony Notaro Community Service Award.

BACK TO SCHOOL MOVIE NIGHT: SING
Battery Park City will show the animated movie “Sing” in Rockefeller Park on Friday, Sept. 6, 7;45p. DJ Suzan Z Anthony will start the night at 7p. More info here.

AMANDA SELWYN DANCE MOVES TO TRIBECA
After 25 years as a nomadic organization, Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre has moved to 412 Broadway, just south of Canal — making a home for the professional company and the Notes in Motion dance education program. More soon when I get a chance to visit.
