The Friends of Duane Park held its third annual “Dinner on Duane” event on Sunday, and as originally planned, it was outside on Duane, with a table reaching from the Hudson corner to Duane Park Patisserie and seating 184 — and it was fabulous. This year’s event was a legit fundraiser, and the group is hoping to clear $100,000, but the tally isn’t in yet. There’s a matching grant through the end of the week.
The big thank you notes go to Compass real estate agent and Tribecan Amy Bonomi, who the presenting partner for the whole shebang; the folks at Artesano, who pulled off a lovely meal while prepping from a tent on the corner of Staple Street (not easy); and wine distributor Adrian Chalk, who not only donated the wine, but served as MC.
Duane Park Patisserie and Madeline Lanciani provided the cookies and ring dings for dessert. Laughing Man and Slate Cafe served coffee; Elan Flowers, which just moved back to the neighborhood, arranged the flowers. Mary Giuliani Catering oversaw the entire dinner.
And lots of local businesses helped out as sponsors: Ritual Dental, ARC Athletics, Fourteenjay, Aztech, AmEx, 60 Hudson, Donadic, Cynthia Rowley, The Greenwich Hotel, Damon Liss Design, Real Pilates, Greenwich Cleaners, The Washington Market School, 55 Hudson, Duane Park Lofts, OrangeTheory, Balloon Saloon, Tribeca Wine Merchants, and the condo board at 260 West Broadway.
