Seen & Heard: The Great Tribeca Scavenger Hunt

THE GREAT TRIBECA SCAVENGER HUNT
Bogardus Plaza will host its 8th annual fundraiser, The Great Tribeca Scavenger Hunt, on Sunday, October 27, from 3 to 5p, where teams race around Tribeca finding clues, completing missions and answering trivia to win one of 11 prizes totaling nearly $2,500 donated by local businesses. All proceeds benefit the plaza. Tickets are $35/person until October 22 then price increases to $40/person. The hunt is recommended for kids over 7 and adults, and teams must have a minimum of three people and a suggested max of 6. The game is limited to 35 teams. Prizes include $500 to Forge and Locanda, a case of pinot noir, gift cards to Lola Tribeca, Smyth Tavern, Duane Park Patisserie and more. Sign up here.

COMEDY SHOW AT LAUGHING MAN
Tribecan and opera singer Kristine Fu and her partner, Tiger Gao, a stand-up comic, will host a comedy show at Laughing Man on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 8 to 11:30p. Their company, This Might Not Land, will present Commedia Della Musica! — “a night at the Met Opera, NY Philharmonic, Tomi Jazz and Comedy Cellar altogether” — a combo that “brings opera patrons and Joe Rogan aficionados together.” More info here.

EULALIE x L’ABEILLE
Say that five times, fast! This is a first to my knowledge: Chip Smith, the chef at Eulalie, and Mitsunobu Nagae, the chef at L’Abeille will be cooking together for one meal on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Eulalie on West Broadway. THE MOTH IN BATTERY PARK CITY
Battery Park City will host the Moth Community StorySLAM, a noncompetitive, open-mic storytelling event in which anyone can share a 5-minute story on the night’s theme, on Thursday, Oct. 10, at 7:30p, at 6 River Terrace. Entry is free – come to watch the show or tell a true, personal story on the theme of “shadows.” Prior to the slam, Moth instructors will host two workshops offering techniques on the craft of storytelling: Workshop 1: Oct 1, 6-7:30p; Workshop 2: Oct 8, 2-3:30p.
