BUBBY’S IS GROWING APPLES IN JAPAN

TRIBECA NORTH GREENING & CLEANING
The Tribeca North Neighborhood Association will host a Greening and Cleaning Day on Sunday, October 20, from 10a to 1p, on Laight and Hudson. They secured over 2,000 daffodil bulbs from The Daffodil Project, as well as five new street planters that are going in on Laight. The group will also clean stickers and graffiti off of the street infrastructure, and pick up litter. The group already got the USPS to rehabilitate some of the mailboxes in the area. DENTIST LEWIS GROSS RETIRING AFTER 44 YEARS
Dr. Lewis Gross, who founded Holistic Dentists on Park Place 44 years ago, has decided to retire. A Tribeca resident, he was a founder of Downtown Little League and a member of Community Board 1 for 10 years. His practice has been purchased by Dr. Shweta Verma, who will continue offering holistic dental services. “My post-dentist plans are a mixture of personal interests,” Lewis said. “I will continue my research into the alkaline oral cleanse and hopefully reissue new products. And I will spend some quality time behind the bar at my family’s restaurants in Montauk (668 The Gig Shack) and Southold (Little Fish). Come visit.”

EARLY CHILDHOOD SCHOOL FAIR
The Downtown Early Childhood Association will host its annual Early Childhood School Fair on October 16 from 5-7pm at Pine Street School, 156 William. There will be 40 downtown schools and early childhood centers represented, including Buckle My Shoe, JCP, Leman, My Little School, Pine Street School, and Reade Street Prep. Register here.
