The Little Gym is moving to Hudson and Franklin

The Little Gym, the kids gymnastics program that has been in the neighborhood for more than a decade, has taken the ground floor of the very cool 110 Hudson — the former bank building on the northeast corner with Franklin. W. happened to walk by and got these shots of the interior. Big thanks. I’ve been wondering for a while what was going on there.

Our location of The Little Gym opened in 2013 on the corner of Hudson and Ericsson, serving kids 4 months to 12 years. The business is a franchise with more than 350 locations worldwide. Robin Wes opened the first gym in 1976 — 45 years ago! — in Bellevue, Washington.

Their philosophy is called Three-Dimensional Learning, where they foster three concepts: Get Moving (physical strength and balance), Brain Boost (listening skills and decision-making) and Citizen Kid (cooperation and leadership). I am guessing this space is bigger? But both their current space — the former Pompanoosuc Mills — are pretty fabulous Tribeca spaces.

I sent a note to see if there’s a schedule — will update if I hear back.
