BRUNCH STARTS AT BEEFBAR
Beefbar, the family-owned franchise of the international chain that opened in the former Nobu space on Hudson in March, will begin brunch service on Nov. 8, running every Saturday and Sunday from 11a to 3p. They are also now open for lunch Monday to Friday from 11:30a to 3p. More news from the restaurant here, and I will get in there soon!
MORE SKY-HIGH GRAFFITI
After I ran neighbor’s pictures of the graffiti on 45 Park Place, 600 feet up in the air, another reader sent this — on 161 Maiden Lane, aka One Seaport, another derelict supertall seemingly abandoned. No one has worked on this one for three years either. And as to the graffiti: how? rappelling?? More here from Yimby.
FENCE ART AT WAGNER
Battery Park City has wrapped the construction around Wagner Park with two pieces of public art: Davina Hsu’s Blessing Transmission and Michelle Weinberg’s River Semaphore cover 1100 feet of construction fence along Battery Place.
REGINA SPEKTOR TO BE HONORED
AT MUSEUM OF JEWISH HERITAGE
The Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust will honor the Feilbogen Family and Grammy-nominated artist Regina Spektor at its annual Generation to Generation celebration on November 19 hosted by actor Noah Emmerich. The event will feature a performance by Spektor and will be held at the museum in Battery Park City. More info here.
