Thanks to S. for spotting this: A doggy day care spot, Pups@Play, is opening on Duane between Church and Broadway — formerly the Wynd Shipping office, and before that, Capital Electronics. J. had heard the rumor weeks ago, but I didn’t dig for more info. (I am thinking now this use needs a license, and could have been looked up. James?)

The company has two spots in New Jersey and was founded by a local, second generation vet in Livingston; from what I can see this is the first NYC location. They offer all sorts of pet health and wellness services: vet care, personalized playtime, outdoor walks, grooming, boarding and more.
