DA CLAUDIO IS 10 YEARS OLD
Tribecans Linda and Claudio Marini are celebrating 10 years of their restaurant (and neighborhood favorite) Da Claudio, at 21 Ann, which opened in November 2014. Big applause, especially since they have literally weathered the storms: their last restaurant, Barbarini Alimentari, was devastated by Hurricane Sandy. And also big thanks for all they do for the neighborhood, from the little leagues to Taste of the Seaport.
CHABAD OF TRIBECA HOLIDAY MARKET
Chabad of Tribeca/SoHo will host a sip and shop at its Holiday Market on Wednesday, Dec. 4, from 6 to 9p at 321 Canal between Greene and Mercer. The free shopping event will have one-of-a-kind vendors and unique holiday gifts. RSVP here.
DOWNTOWN DANCE FACTORY IS A DOWNTOWN STAR
Tribecan Hanne Larsen, who with Melanie Zrihen founded Downtown Dance Factory in 2209, has been named a Downtown Block Star by the blog PoliticsNY — and she’s in good company. The other stars include the president of Hudson River Park Trust; the EVP of Brookfield; Tribecan Richard Corman, the president of the Downtown Independent Democrats; the president of the South Street Seaport Museum; and the downtown elected officials, among others.
